Procurement plays a highly strategic role in our operations. We need to purchase large components to build and operate our wind and solar farms, as well as our hydroelectric plants and storage sites. Boralex regularly participates in panels, trainings and industry events to share best practices in sustainable procurement and collaborate with manufacturers, developers and associations.
Empowering our supply chain
The expectations we have for our suppliers are defined in our responsible procurement charter. Based on the ISO 26000 standard, this charter is an integral part of tenders and contracts for the purchase of products exceeding 250,000 CAD/USD/EUR.
- In 2023, 98% of the volume of these purchases was made from suppliers who signed this charter or underwent an ESG analysis.
